The Government of Punjab has officially launched the (Phase 2) of a groundbreaking internship initiative aimed at empowering young agriculture graduates.
Internship Scheme for Agriculture Graduates 2025-26 is designed to empower young agriculture graduates with hands-on experience, this program aims to enhance their employability, foster innovation in farming techniques, and contribute to the state’s agricultural growth.

This program, spearheaded by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, seeks to enhance agricultural productivity by providing practical training and a generous monthly stipend of 60,000 per month to 2,000 Agriculture Graduates across the province.
Program Overview:
Upon the approval of the Revised PC-I, applications are being invited for internship program through advertisement in leading newspaper, departmental website and social media. Applications along with relevant documents are being submitted in office of respective “Deputy Director Agriculture (Extension)” as district level who is acting as member of district level recruitment committee headed by the respective Deputy Commissioner.

Eligibility Criteria:
If you are willing to apply for Internship Scheme for Agriculture Graduates 2025-26, you should meet the following criteria;
Educational Qualification:
- B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture / B.Sc. (Hons.) Agricultural Engineering
- Diploma holders in agriculture-related disciplines may also be considered for specific roles.
Age Limit:
- 25 years
Residency Requirement:
- Candidate with respective district domicile.
- Resident of same Tehsil will be preferred.
Other Requirements:
- Must possess own smart phone for performing ICT based activities & mobility for field visits.
- Strong communication skills & understanding of Agricultural farming practices.

Important Note:
Interns selected under internship program 2024-25 will not be eligible for Internship Scheme for Agriculture Graduates 2025-26.
Selection Procedure:
Scrutiny of application and interviews for the advertised positions will be carried out by District level selection committee at District level. For interview scoring criteria is given in the following table, as per Revised PC-1.
Selected internees will be gone through 3-5 days orientation at district level. After that, the internees assigned field area called “Circle” which is normally comprised of few villages having intensive cultivation of crops, fruits and vegetables.

Deployment:
Following points will be considered for deployment;
- Within domiciled district
- Nearest Markaz to his residence, as far possible.
- Intensively cultivated group of villages.
- Where public extension staff not available.
- On need assessment basis for specific crops.
- Non-transferable to any other district
- Any special promotional campaign.
- Emergency response situation like locust, smog etc.
Objective of the Internship Program:
The primary objectives of the CM Internship Opportunity for Agriculture Graduates 2025-26 are:

Work & Assessment:
Activities will be tracked via mobile app. Interns’ performance will be evaluated bi-monthly, and a certificate will be awarded upon successful completion of one year. This is a valuable opportunity to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world agricultural practices.
