Post-Doctoral Research Fellow Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct animal experiments to collect tissue samples from rats or mice.
- Process tissue samples for RNA-seq analyses.
- Lead the development, refinement, and implementation of computational tools and pipelines for processing and analyzing long-read whole genome sequencing data.
- Analyze existing and newly acquired genomic sequencing data to identify novel genes and genomic regions involved in spermatogenesis in the rat testis.
- Stay current with advances in bioinformatics and genomics, integrating new methodologies into the lab’s research.
- Supervise the technicians in the lab to conduct research experiments in animals and/or in vitro molecular biology techniques.
- Write proposals/grants for funding, manuscripts develop presentations and present in internal and external meetings.
- Contribute to project management broadly within the team, especially related to projects led by the Senior Scientist.
- Collaborate and work with other biomedical research groups within CBR and outside.
